Improving Genetics with Rafter D Genetics

Rafter D Genetics provides conventional embryo collection services for cattle ranchers. We can house and collect your donor cows at our convenient location in College Station, Texas across from the Texas A&M Beef cattle center. Embryos can be frozen or transferred to your recipients.

Collection fee: $300.00

Rafter D Genetics can transfer fresh or frozen bovine embryos into your synchronized recipients. Direct transfer embryos can be transferred at our clinic or on-the-farm at your location if you have adequate cattle working facilities. The client is responsible for providing the recipients. 

Embryo Transfer fee: $50/transfer

Rafter D Genetics can process and freeze embryos using ethylene glycol for direct transfer post thawing. each embryo is properly washed, graded and treated for freezing. The embryos can be frozen for the client to be used at a later date. There is no expiration date for frozen embryos as lomg as they are properly maintained in a liquid nitrogen storage tank.

Embryo Freezing fee: $50/embryo

Rafter D Genetics can offer donor/recipient housing during the treatment program. We have pasture and pens available to maintain the donors and recipients while they are being treated with hormones for the collection or AI program. We do not offer long term housing for animals. 

Daily Animal Mantenance: $5/hd/day

Rafter D Genetics offers artificial insemination service for cattle. We can set up and breed your cattle in clinic or on-the-farm if you have an adequate cattle working facility.

Hormone set up: $20/hd

Artificial Insemination fee: $20/hd

Rafter D Genetics offers pregancy palpation at our facility or yours. We can do manual rectal palpations on cattle or ultrasound determinations for cows bred 30 - 90 days. 

Rectal Palpations: $5/hd

Ultrasound determinations: $10/hd
